Chance 2 Dance is excited to get back to dance for the 2020-2021 school year and we know you are eager to know what that looks like!

We will be offering in-studio and digital classes starting in Fall 2020, leading up to our annual recital in May/June of 2021. As the River Valley navigates the COVID-19 pandemic, we at C2D commit to pivoting and adjusting as needed to always keep the health and safety of our students and staff a priority.

In-Studio Guidelines

To safely open for classes, the following guidelines will ensure that we limit the amount of close contact between students and faculty in high-traffic situations and times. These steps include:

  • Staff will go through a health screening prior to teaching including having their temperature taken
  • Staff will wear masks at all times
  • Prior to entry dancers must be able to answer NO to the following:
    • Do you have a cough?
    • Shortness of breath?
    • Do you have a fever of 100.4?
    • Have you been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
  • Anyone age 11 and up will need to wear a mask while in the common areas of the studio (dancers do not have to wear masks while dancing)
  • Separate entrance and exit (at VB studio)
  • Limited class sizes
  • Sanitation of classrooms before/after each class
  • Floor markings in classroom to allow for appropriate physical distancing
  • Limited lobby access to reduce congestion
    • Parents may come in to bring their little ones to their classroom and/or make a payment, but will need to wait outside
    • If child needs to use the restroom or any if there are any other issues parents will be contacted to come in the studio
  • Dancer pick-up and drop-off occurs outside
    • Parents of very young dancers may walk them to their classroom
  • Dancers receive a Bonus Zoom Class Subscription when registered for In-Studio classes.

Digital Classes

Digital classes will be offered for dancers and families who are high risk and want to limit their social exposure. You can register for Zoom classes on our website. In-studio dancers will receive a free subscription to Zoom classes to be used in the event they have to miss due to exposure, COVID-19, or any other sickness/reason.

COVID-19 Accommodations

Modifications to the offerings at Chance 2 Dance may happen mid-season due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. C2D will provide reasonable accommodations to all of our customers. We will pivot to a hybrid classroom and offer classes via Zoom if required, until it is safe for us to return.

Due to COVID-19 exposure, we may have to close a class, day of classes, or the entire studio if community spread becomes substantial. Periods of closure could be: 24 hours, 1-3 days, 14 days, or longer periods based on ADH guidance.
