The “Chance 2 Dance” Special Needs class is a 40-minute class where students will learn the basics of movement, rhythm, and the fundamentals of ballet (such as the five feet positions), as well as reinforcing and practicing basic academic skills (letters, numbers, shapes, etc.). Stretching, dancing with props, enjoying music and expressing emotion will be a part of every class.
What To Wear
It is important for students to wear proper dance attire and shoes so the teacher can critic the dancers’ proper form and alignment and to prevent injury. Long hair is required to be pulled back away from the face. Dangling jewelry is not permitted. Students may wear any color tights and leotard (with skirt or hot shorts) with black jazz shoes OR black ballet shoes.
